A Prayer for the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul
January 25 / Matthew 19:27–30 / By Esaias Heidenreich
Lord Jesus, You have set before us, in the story of the conversion of dear Paul, a gracious demonstration and example of Your faithful care, protection, and watch over Christendom. We ask You from our hearts, since all snorting, threatening, and murder against Your dear Church today are best known to You, that You would receive and have mercy upon Your little flock. Let all tyrants and persecutors of Your holy Word and name recognize and perceive that they persecute You, the true Redeemer of the human race. Steer their wickedness with the sting of Your wrath, so that Your poor, oppressed little flock may ever know, honor, call upon, and praise You yet further here in time and there in eternity. Amen.
