O Holy Spirit, You who are the third Person of the one, eternal, and divine essence, and are named and recognized by all of Christendom as the Holy Spirit, that is, that through You the sanctification of our bodies and souls is imparted. You are a faithful and steadfast help and Comforter in every need, the Spirit of truth and promises, God's finger, the water of life, and a heavenly fire to warm cold hearts and to kindle and arouse the same unto true love toward God. You revealed Yourself with wonderful gifts in the rushing of wind and the divided, fiery tongues among the apostles. We beseech You to also come into our hearts today, strengthen and delight our feeble consciences, anoint and sanctify us with Your blessing, and be the pledge of our salvation and blessedness. Amen.
