Heavenly Father, Eternal God, besides the marvelous and joyful incarnation of Your most beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, You have also shown Yourself to the human race with wondrous revelation. Especially You have let the light of Your grace shine upon our forefathers and ancestors, who lived in idolatry and unspeakable darkness after the manner of the heathen, so that they came into blessed fellowship with Your Son, Christ, and thus attained unto the great new year of Your eternal honor and glory. We beseech You: Grant that we may uphold such grace that has been revealed and made our own, and that we may never be despoiled of Your blessing through complacency, ingratitude, and the like. Amen.
